STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Week ending December 4
MCKENNA EASTER: McKenna was chosen as the Student of the Week for her POSITIVE ATTITUDE and her RESPECT FOR OTHERS. McKenna comes to class every day with a smile on her face and never complains about anything. She always gets right to work, and often does more than is necessary. She is a great listener and has respected her classmates views and opinions.

EDWARD NICHOLS: Edward was chosen as the Student of the Week for his LEADERSHIP and RESPECT FOR OTHERS. Edward works very hard to make sure to follow all classroom procedures, and he encourages his classmates to do so as well, without being rude or disrespectful to them. He quietly leads by example, and others look up to him because he is kind and caring.

HALEY OSBORN: Haley was chosen as the Student of the Week for her WORK ETHIC and her DEDICATION. I never have to worry about Haley with our class. She is a hard worker and usually does more than she is expected to do. She always makes sure to do everything to the best of her effort. She asks questions and contributes positively to our class climate.

TY WALKER: Ty was chosen as the Student of the Week for his SENSE OF HUMOR and his ANALYTICAL THINKING. I appreciate Ty for bringing a smile to my face and his classmates. He is funny while still showing others that it is alright to work hard. He is a great thinker and can definitely prove his point of view when discussing or writing. His writing is very advanced.

CARLY CURE: Carly was chosen as the Student of the Week for her KINDNESS TO OTHERS and her POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Carly truly exemplifies the purpose of our class - she treats others with respect and does her best to make them feel better. She always has a smile on her face and makes sure to cheer up those who may be struggling. She includes others in activities.

NATHEN BUCKLES: Nathen was chosen as the Student of the Week for his HARD WORK and for APPLYING WHAT WE LEARNED IN THE CLASSROOM TO REAL LIFE! Nathen has really worked hard to improve his grade and attitude toward learning, and it has been very noticeable and appreciated! I am grateful for Nathen for listening to what we said in class, and then using that to improve his life. Thanks for trying the 20-20 method, Nathen!

ISAAC JACOB: Isaac was chosen as the Student of the Week for his POSITIVE ATTITUDE and HIS RESPECT FOR OTHERS. Isaac is a great leader in the classroom. He understands that all people are humans and deserve to be treated as such - he is always kind to everyone around him. He takes everything and tries to apply it in a positive way. I am proud to know him!

JOHN HUIZAR: John was chosen as the Student of the Week for his IMPROVED ATTITUDE and for his ability to SELF-EVALUATE. John has shown marked improvement in all that he has been doing in Comet Character. He is turning in assignments, participating in class, and treating others with respect. John also has been very good at evaluating himself with regard to the material we are covering in class. I'm glad to see him smile!

Unfortunately, I was on medical leave and ill for some time, so there are no Students of the Week for February 19, 26, or March 4

DANIEL GALLEGOS: In the first week of the new trimester, Daniel has shined! He was chosen as the Student of the Week for a POSITIVE ATTITUDE and his LEADERSHIP. Daniel came into class eager and ready to participate. He follows all rules and is great at getting others to participate in a way that doesn't demean them. He is respectful and a great role model. I appreciate his positive leadership.

LINDSAY BARLOW: Lindsay was chosen as the Student of the Week for her JOURNAL WRITING and her WILLINGNESS TO SHARE. Students are only required to write a half page of a journal, but Lindsay frequently goes above and beyond, writing anywhere from one to three pages! Her journals are full of fun, yet insight into her life, others, and society in general. She is a young lady who shows a great deal of maturity.

TONY WARD: Tony was chosen as the Student of the Week for his LEARNING OF LIFE-LONG LESSONS and his willingness to be OPEN AND HONEST. Tony is a joy to have in class, and he truly understands the purpose of this class and what I am hoping all students learn. He takes what we talk about in class, and applies them to his life. He is willing to share those things that were difficult, and he is willing to take positive constructive criticism to help him.
